The Hearing Test
A hearing test is a simple, important step toward better hearing. At Dipple and Conway, your test will be conducted by a friendly, qualified Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD) who will guide you through the process. First, they’ll check your ears for any blockages or wax to ensure accurate results. Then, they’ll explain the Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) test, where you’ll listen to beeps at different pitches and volumes to determine your hearing sensitivity. In some cases, a Bone Conduction (BC) test may also be performed to assess how well your inner ear processes sound. This thorough testing helps provide a clear picture of your hearing health and the best options for improving it.
